Dental X-ray image (radiogram) is a picture of one or several dental crowns and their roots, revealing the condition of solid tissues around the tooth. When planning the filling, it allows a precise determination of areas damaged by caries when performing endodontic treatment, helps to fill dental roots in a precise manner.
Panoramic X-ray image of maxilla
Panoramic X-ray image of maxilla (orthopantomogram) shows a total flat maxilla and mandible image and antrum. Panoramic oral image is made when:
- surgical removal of molars and teeth that do not grow is planned;
- orthodontic treatment is planned;
- large-scale prosthesis work is planned;
- evaluation of periodontic condition is necessary.
